Praise You in this storm

At what point do you think Joseph decided that the circumstances that he was experiencing were meant by God for his good and for the good of others? cf:Genesis 37-50
This recent trip to Lesotho had a lot of circumstances that did not go according to my plans. I did not get sold into slavery or put in prison for a crime that I did not commit however. The story of Joseph does make it easier for me to accept those circumstances by faith and trust that what I perceive as evil God intends to use it for good.

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God , to those who are called according to His purpose.

Todd -
Genesis - beginnings -- filled with the starts and stops of normal Christian life focused on worshipping God. I have heard more and more messages suggesting that the Jospeh of the early chapters is not the Jospeh of the latter chapters. In order to get to the spot where he says "God meant it for good", he has to experience the troubles. Refinement of his theology!
Joseph was not just sitting on his bottom though. He was not waiting in the cell for God to work, he was working the steward job well. So well that he rose through the ranks. Faith is the taking of steps to do what is next it is not waiting for God to do all the work by himself.
Glad that you made it home in one piece.
Mike
