Been a long long time.

Hello folks! Sorry that it has been so long since my last post. It has been a long and confusing summer. I still am not quite sure what is going to happen, but I thought that I would give you all an update.

Family: All is well on the family front (besides the fact that we have teens). Rachel is going to be a junior! Moriah starts pre-school. And Mom contemplates re-entering the workplace (outside the home).

Work: Reestablishing my tree service has been slow going. The economy has slowed things down, I have been battling old broken equipment (still don't have a running dump truck) and evrything I do uses gas! I just agreed to be the part-time maintenance man for my local church 20 hrs a week. Signature is slow as well and doesn't need me on any tower builds.

Ministry: Not sure what is happening here either. Many of you know that I have been praying about starting my own non-profit call adventures in discipleship. I am not convinced yet that that is the direction the Lord is leading. I was able to attend a climbers gathering in Rumney NH for the second year in a row and had a climber thank me for our conversations the year before, saying that "they were the stimulus needed to get him back on his walk of faith". To me, that makes it all worth it! On that same trip I was able to take a local college age guy with me and spent alot of time in discipleship and accountability that continues.
I just got back from a conference with an organization called Solid Rock Climbers for Christ held in Rocky mnt National Park, CO. I was able to use airmiles for a ticket and a supporter donated $500 for the other costs. I am praying about being a On-the-road missionary for this org (more about that in another post).
A friend and I have organized a climbers gathering for here in the Adirondacks for Sept 5-7. Please begin to pray for this event.
Kris and I will both be working in our church's youth programs again this year.
I am praying about continuing as leader in my small group as well.

Please pray for our family:
That we would trust God for His promised provision.
That we would all have a daily walk with God that is consistant
That my children would have effective ministry in the public school (and for protection from evil and false teaching)
For God's clear direction and my willingness to follow
For Kris as she re-enters the workplace

Thanks for your prayers, brother. We will be praying for you as well. Hmmm... Moriah! Thats a great suggestion. The best we had was Dori (after the fish in Nemo, cause she forgot how to start apparently). (-: May your delight be in Him!
